I recently attended the Marketo User Summit conference, and was particularly intrigued by the keynote given by Forrester Research analyst Lori Wizdo. In her discussion on lead nurturing, she showed a slide that represented the buyer’s journey as a number of twists and turns from initial awareness to actual purchase—almost like a maze that ultimately led to a pot of gold at the end. I think the entire audience nodded in agreement with her – these days the prospect’s buying decision is far from being a straightforward, linear path.]]></description>
